Situated on the North East coast of England, the ConocoPhillips Refinery is one of the largest employers within the area. We operate at two sites- the Humber Refinery and Immingham Combined Heat and Power (ICHP) plant both of which are within easy access to Grimsby, Hull and Lincoln

The Refinery is one of the most complex within the UK and is built across 480 acres, employing over 750 people. Every day the Refinery processes some 230,000 barrels of crude oil and other feedstocks as well as Gasoline and Diesel for transportation. The Refinery produces propylene, benzene and other feedstocks used in the manufacture of products such as detergents, toiletries and plastics of all types.

The Humber Refinery has a welcoming and friendly work environment with plenty of activities that employees readily participate in such as health and sports clubs, social clubs and events. The site facilities include a lunch canteen and an on-site medical centre available to all employees.

There is active participation within the local community. Employees are enthusiastically involved in environmental and community based initiatives and projects under its ‘Humber Heart’ employee volunteer scheme. For a number of years ConocoPhillips has proudly managed and developed Houlton’s Covert (a nature reserve) and Mayflower Wood, the largest project of its kind in the UK. Both are situated next to the Refinery.
