 The selection process

We endeavour to identify and recruit the best candidates for each of our roles. To help us to achieve this, we use a variety of assessment and selection methods including interviews, ability tests and assessment centres.

If you are asked to sit an ability test or attend an assessment centre, you will be given prior information regarding when and where the assessment will take place. To help you prepare for the tests, we suggest you make use of all practice materials available either online, at your local library or university.

You can try some sample questions, similar to what you could encounter at ConocoPhillips by visiting www.shldirect.com. On the day, you will be given more specific information on what to do and how to do the test, so there is no need to worry. Further information about online assessments at ConocoPhillips can be found within our online assessment principles.

Interviews are typically conducted on site at the location for which you are applying (this may differ if the location is overseas). The interview process may vary slightly depending on the job. Remember, the interview is a two way process, as much as we are looking for the right person for the job it is also an opportunity to consider whether ConocoPhillips is right for you.
