Within our Exploration and Production business, opportunities for Geoscientists and Reservoir Engineers to develop their careers include:

  • The search for new oil and gas fields in our exploration teams.
  • Geological operations and well planning.
  • Seismic operations.
  • Field development and reservoir modeling - designing field development plans and bringing new discoveries to efficient production.
  • Reservoir management and production engineering in our existing fields. 

 Geosciences     Graduate hires are typically positioned within a multi-function team working one or more of these areas, working closely with other team members and assigned mentors. Rotational assignments will be offered in the first 2-3 years to broaden the experience and accurate skills development. A significant portion of the professional development in the early years is down to hands-on work experience and team work, supplemented by regular formal training schools.

For these opportunities we generally recruit graduates from established Petroleum Geoscience, Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering MSc courses, or holders of a relevant PhD.
