Warwickshire Education Business Partnership (WEBP)

In conjunction with Warwickshire Education Business Partnership, another successful Real Context Challenge was completed at Kenilworth School. The challenge was based around an environmental theme. Each team was tasked with creating an eco friendly wildlife garden and allotment. The purpose of this task was to create a real work environment where Year 10 students needed to work together as a team, tackle tasks and manage projects in order to experience some of the skills required in the business world. The ultimate aim was to help the School achieve its green flag status.

Brake - The Road Safety Charity We make an annual donation to Brake to renew our Corporate Partnership.
Refuelling the Local Community Day We undertook seven projects for the local community, which were all completed on the day, for the following: - Castel Froma, Lillington - The Gap Community Centre, Warwick - Scout Campsite, Hatton - St John's Childrens Centre, Kenilworth - The Lawns Care Home, Whitnash - Lillington Children's Centre Allotment, Lillington - Whitnash Allotments

Oxfam and The Gurkha Trust (Trailwalker) Donations were made from the 2008 Health Challenge.
Macmillan Cancer Support - Breast Way Round We sponsored Shirley Anne Barnes, Cambell Fuel Oils (Retail customer) in a charity motorbike run.
N. I. Kidney Research FPS Expo 2008 Survey Winner, Mr Tom Alderdice of the Currie Group (Wholesale customer), nominated this charity for a donation.
Get Kids Going We sponsored Sarah Fanner of Hingley & Callow (Wholesale customer) in the London Marathon.
British Heart Foundation We sponsored Lisa Davis of the Davis Group (Specialty Products customer) on a 270 mile cycle ride along the banks of the River Nile in November.
Guide Dogs for the Blind We sponsored the Hammonds Group (Retail customer) Parachute Jump.
The Double 'R' Playscheme We sponsored Helen Evans, Russell Best, Maria Harbutova, Matt Miller, Neil Plaskitt, Emma Cook and John Banholzer who took part in the Regency Run
Addenbrooke's CharitableTrust (ACT) We sponsored the Shelford Energy (Wholesale customer) Charity Golf Day.
Kate's Home Nursing We sponsored Janet Messenger in the 10.2 mile 'Leg It' charity road event.

Help for Heroes We sponsored Hingley & Callow (Specialty Products (gas) customer) at their trade stand at the Burwarton Show.
Houghton Field Association We sponsored Houghton Garage (Retail customer) to raise funds towards a new children's Play Area.
Children with Leukaemia Honiton Garage (Retail customer) has been with Jet for 40 years this year and we have made a donation to Children with Leukaemia as their chosen charity.
Help for Heroes Esther Elliot of Chandlers Oil and Gas (Wholesale customer) participated in the Big Drop Exercise 2009 and abseiled 250 feet down St Wulfram's Church.
The Stroke Association Jo Grant of Bewicke Service Station (Retail customer) participated in the Byker Bridge Abseil 2009.
ORBIS UK Ian Doubtfire of Jet2 (Aviation Customer) took part in a 26 mile marathon in the Grand Cayman Islands.
Children's Heart Surgery Fund Oliver Blake, son of Malcolm Blake of Oasis Garage (Retail customer) held a charity Car Wash Day at the site in December.
