 UK Managing Director
A. W. (Archie) Kennedy is regional vice president, Europe & Africa and UK managing director, for ConocoPhillips.
Archie was senior vice president, operations and business development for Conoco Canada from 2001 to 2002. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, he joined Conoco UK in 1979 as a mechanical engineer in Mablethorpe, England and held various positions throughout England and Scotland before becoming operations unit manager at the Hutton and Murchison fields in Aberdeen in 1995. Kennedy has also served at Conoco’s worldwide headquarters in Houston, Texas where he worked as executive assistant to the vice president of South America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. From there, he became president and general manager of Conoco Canada.
He holds a bachelor of science degree, with honors, in mechanical engineering from the University of Manchester and a master’s of business administration from the University of Aberdeen.
