Paul C. Warwick is president, Europe and West Africa, for exploration and production, at ConocoPhillips.
Paul began his career with the company in 1981. He held a number of positions in large capital projects and operations in the U.K. and Norway prior to being appointed managing director of Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited, Trinidad, West Indies in 1997. In 1999, he became president and chief executive officer of Gulfstream Resources Canada Limited but later that year rejoined the company as president and managing director of Conoco Energy Nigeria Limited. In 2001, Paul was appointed president and chief executive officer of Gulf Indonesia Resources Limited and then, following the merger of Conoco and Phillips in 2002, he assumed the role of president, ConocoPhillips Indonesia. In 2004, he became president Middle East and North Africa and was appointed to his current position in 2006.
Paul was born in England. He obtained a master of science degree from Cranfield Institute of Technology in 1978. He became a chartered engineer in 1981 and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and a Fellow of the Welding Institute. He was previously vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago and president of the Indonesian Petroleum Association. He is currently a trustee of the St. Andrew’s prize for the environment and a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
